Anti-Bullying Week – Monday 14th November to Friday 18th November
We are delighted to be once again celebrating Anti-Bullying Week in school. Monday 14th November to Friday 18th November.
The theme this year is ‘Reach Out’.
Pupil’s will be completing activities and workshops in school around this topic over the course of the week.
We will launch Anti- Bullying Week 2022 by everyone wearing odd socks on Monday 14th November to celebrate what makes us all unique!
A great start to Anti Bullying Week. All pupils have taken part in our Anti Bulling assembly and have discussed the importance of ‘Reaching Out’. We have all worn our odd socks to celebrate our uniqueness.
Influenza Childhood Immunisation Programme 2022
Dear Parent/Guardian,
The flu vaccine will be offered to all primary school children, and up to year 11 in children attending a special education needs provision, this year. Nasal flu vaccination is delivered in school. There are some occasions where an injection is the most appropriate route for vaccination for some children. The consent form that the link below takes you to is for Nasal Flu, if you select NO, you will be asked a series of questions to establish if your child is eligible for an injection.
Please complete the link below to give consent. If you do not want your child to receive the vaccine then you can select the ‘NO’ option on the consent form. School code to register consent is: HD114285
https://www.hdftsais.co.uk/Forms/Flu
After you have finished, if you change your mind or need to tell us about changes to your child’s medical history, do not complete another consent form. Please visit www.hdftsais.co.uk/Contact to contact the immunisation team and tell us about any changes.
For further information about the flu vaccine please access Flu vaccination in schools – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Rescued Food Stall starting Friday 3rd December at St. John’s School
Rescued Food Stall
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Every week, so much perfectly good food is thrown out by supermarkets and shops just because it is on its sell by date.
Here at school, we want to make a difference! We are very pleased to be working alongside Shildon Alive to set up our own Rescued Food Stall.
Our stall, run by Year 5, will be situated outside of school every Friday, starting from this week Friday 3rd December from 2.45pm – 3.15pm.
A variety of rescued food from our local supermarkets will be available for any donations. Grab your carrier bag and get shopping.
Once again, thank you for your support.
