World Book Day
We have had a super day celebrating the wonder of books!
By raising money selling the fancy dress costumes for World Book Day. It was the children’s idea to use that money to buy needed items to go to the families in Ukraine. The truck is leaving Thursday to go to the Romania and Ukraine border. (Zac and Conner also donated their pocket money to buy items.)

Eucharist Service
The whole school joined together for our half termly Eucharist Service held in St. John’s Church at 9:30am on Wednesday 24th May. The service was led by 10 children from Years 1 – 5 who did an amazing job of reading, praying and leading the worship. It was based on marriage, love and Jesus’ first miracle of turning water into wine at the wedding in Cana. Parents & friends joined us as well as members of St. John’s Church congregation. The service was beautiful with a lovely sense of God’s presence throughout.
SCYPAN Awards (Shildon Children and Young Peoples Action Network)
Wednesday 23rd November saw our School Choir performing at its best in front of a large crowd at the SCYPAN Awards held at Shildon Civic. Led by Mrs Pallister and Mr Kay on the keyboard, our KS2 Choir performed our own version of ‘Make You Feel My Love’ and ‘Don’t Stop Believing’. We completely blew the audience away with our amazing singing! Many people from the local community congratulated us on our performance.
